Logan Elm Local School District set out to consolidate all 1,678 of its students from six buildings into one centralized PK-12 campus.
What it included
One campus for the whole district
The district had been spread across three elementary schools, an intermediate school, a middle school and a high school, with McDowell Middle School and Logan Elm High School sharing the Tarlton Road campus and the rest scattered across the district. The new PK-12 facility, approximately 215,321 sq ft, brought all of it to one site. Five buildings were demolished as part of the project, none of them removed until the new facility was complete and students and faculty had moved in.
Funding
The bond issue passed in November of 2018, and in July of 2019 the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission notified districts that funding had been approved.
